Reflecta-GDI Plus™ is a breakthrough in protecting the insulation surface from oxidisation and corrosion. The highly reflective garage door insulation is made up of two layers of extra pure aluminium foil reflecting 97% of radiant heat. Each layer of foil is heat laminated to a tough layer polyethylene sandwiching air pockets for thermal insulation. The lightweight yet tough construction of Reflecta-GDI Plus™ ensures hassle free DIY installation which is both cost effective and durable.

Installation

Highly effective Garage Door Insulation
Two layers of extra pure reinforced aluminium foil reflecting up to 97% of radiant heat. Each layer of foil is heat laminated to a tough polyethylene core of sandwiched air bubbles for thermal insulation

Each pack will cover a standard 16 panel double garage door

  1. Wipe down the inside with a rag and a little methylated spirits
  2. Measure the panels and cut all of your insulation into shape
  3. Lay the double-sided tape on the edge of every panel but do not peel the other side on the double sided tape yet
  4. Silicone around the perimeter and also the middle of one panel at a time as shown in the picture
  5. Peel the plastic strip off the double sided tape in the panel that has just been done with silicone
  6. Carefully place the Reflecta-GDITM pad into the prepared panel, silver side facing you, making sure that the pad is fully covering the entire area and none of the garage panel is showing
  7. Tuck the edges of the Reflecta-GDITM pad into the existing spaces to the left and right of each panel with your fingers and run your hands along the whole pad pushing down on all the edges to ensure an even finish

The GI Building Sciences Insulation warranty covers oxidisation and corrosion for 15 years from manufacture (subject to storage, transport and installation conditions).
GI Building Sciences® also warranty against faulty manufacture or failure of their products for 15 years.

    This product is incredibly easy to install. It took 2 of us just under 2 hours to install. Lightweight with no PPE needed when handling it. I’m impressed and will sing its praises to anyone who is interested. The fact that it cost less than $140.00 was the added bonus.
